Person from Bihar arrested with fake currency notes
New Delhi, June 19 (UNI) The Delhi Police have seized many fake currency notes of Rs 500 denomination from a person in Lajpat Rai Market in North Delhi.
Sikender Ansari, a resident of District Betia in Bihar, was arrested from the Lajpat Rai Market yesterday after the Rs 500 note he gave to a hawker for buying a T shirt was found to be fake by the hawker who complained to the police.
The search of Sikender revealed 19 more fake currency notes of Rs 500 denomination each. Raids are on to nab another person Jameel who is said to have supplied the currency notes to Sikender.
