Nitish government to meet the Lalu-Rabri fate if fails to deliver

Samastipur, June 19 (UNI) Union Steel and Fertiliser Minister Ram Vilas Paswan today said that Nitish-led NDA government in Bihar might meet the same fate as that of Lalu-Rabri government if it failed to carry out development work in the state expeditiously.

Inaugurating a health camp here, Mr Paswan said that despite claims of Nitish government of ushering a new era of development in the state, the ground level situation continued to remain unchanged.

''In the name of good governance, atrocities were being perpetrated against the downtrodden and under-privileged sections of the society,'' he lamented, adding that the criminal activities in Bihar were on a rise despite claims by Nitish government of improvement in law and order situation in the state.

Mr Paswan assured that steps had already been taken to ensure the availability of fertilisers to farmers in Bihar and alleged that state government machineries were found lacking earlier in its proper distribution among farmers despite having sufficient stock.

''Centre was pumping sufficient funds for development in Bihar but government failed to utilise it and was indulged in mudslinging on the UPA government instead'' he added.
