Life convict for incest commits suicide

Kapurthala, June 19 (UNI) A man undergoing life imprisonment for raping his minor daughter committed a suicide by consuming some poisonous substance here late this evening.

Deceased Parmeshwar Singh, 45, who was on parole for the past few days checked in a hotel near the bus stand and consumed some poisonous substance.

He was found unconscious and was taken to the local civil hospital where he died.

Singh, an ayurvedic practitioner, was sentenced to life imprisonment for raping his minor daughter in 2006.
