Karnataka to stop illegal money lending

Bangalore, June 19 (UNI) In an attempt to stop the harassment of farmers, the Karnataka government today issued an order not to run money lending business without permission.

An official statement here said the state government had issued the order against private money lenders who charged exorbitant rates of interest.

The order said those who violate the rules would face prosecution and six months imprisonment, if found guilty.
