Jodhpur, June 19 (UNI) Senior BJP leader Jaswant Singh's wife Sheetal Kunwar today filed a complaint in a court here today in the poster controversy wherein Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje has been depicted as goddess Annapurna.

The row has brought to the fore the rift and the power struggle in the state unit.

Advocate Girdhar Bhati filed the complaint in the court of Judicial Magistrate (No. 3) on behalf of Mrs Kunwar. However, as its Magistrate Hariballabh Khatri has been relieved, Magistrate Saroj Choudhary of Court no.8 would now hold a hearing in the complaint tomorrow.

The complaint said the poster depicting Ms Raje as goddess Annapurna has hurt the religious sentiments of Hindus, the police, whom she had approached on May 25, had not even filed a case in this regard.

The police have not taken any action and are indulging in dilly-dallying, she said adding that an FIR be lodged and action be taken against the publisher of the posters.

Hemant Bohra, former vice-president of Jodhpur's BJP unit, had designed the poster depicting Ms Raje as Goddess Annapurna, former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee as Lord Vishnu, senior BJP leader L K Advani as Lord Brahma and BJP President Rajnath Singh as Lord Shiva.

He justifies the poster saying Ms Raje fully deserves ''divine status'' for all she has done for the state.

The poster has embarrased the BJP leadership who had urged Ms Raje to denounce it. The Chief Minister, however, is said to be angry over Mrs Kunwar's filing a complaint in this regard.
