India a major health destination in 20 yrs: Reddy

Tirupati, June 19 (UNI) India will become a major health care destination in next 20 years drawing world wide attention, Apollo Hospitals Group Chairman Pratap C Reddy said today.

Speaking after inaugurating an Apollo Clinic here Dr Reddy said India should respond to its growing importance as a major health care centre. About, 10,000 Iraqi nationals had come to Apollo Hospital at Hyderabad for various surgeries, he recalled.

The low cost of treatment in the country was a major attraction for foreigners. About 59,000 heart surgeries were performed in the hospital last year, he claimed.
