Haryana to give scholarships for tech courses
Chandigarh, Jun 19 (UNI) The Haryana government has decided to give scholarships amounting to about Rs 3.50 crore during the current academic year to the meritorious students pursuing various technical courses approved by All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) in the State.
An official spokesman said the decision to provide these scholarships to the students of pursuing Diploma, Degree, Masters and Doctorate Programmes had been taken on the initiative of Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda.
The move was aimed at attracting talent in Technical Education and to promote M Tech and Ph D programmes facilitating the aspiring candidates so that competent teachers were made available to Technical Education System.
The government had constituted a State Counselling Society as a single window agency for making admissions in AICTE approved Technical Courses and promotion of Technical Education in the state.
