Film Chamber wants piracy activities brought under Goonda Act

Bangalore, June 19 (UNI) A delegation of Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce (KFCC) today demanded the State Government to bring piracy activities under Goonda Act.

In a memorandum submitted to the Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy here, the demands including setting up of a Single Window for choosing shooting sites, tax exemption for remake films.

It also urged for the development of Chitranagari to provide basic infrastructure facilities of recording, studio for shooting of films.

The delegation included actors Vishnuvardhan, Ragavendra and other office bearers of KFCC.

Mr Kumarswamy, who gave a patient hearing assured to respond favourably to their demands for the growth of Kannada film industry.
