Dr Rao in Scientific Advisory Committee of Homeo

Hyderabad, June 19: Dr V V Nagaraja Rao, a senior homeopathy consultant at Apollo Hospitals here, was nominated as a member of the prestigious ''Scientific Advisory Committee of Homeopathy'' by the Centre under the Department of AYUSH.

In a statement, Apollo Hospitals said the appointment was in recognition of his outstanding work and contribution to the homeopathy.

The Centre nominates persons with special knowledge or practical experience in respect of homeopathy or other related disciplines as members of the Central Council of Homeopathy.

Dr Rao, having over 30 years of experience in homeopathy, has served as the general secretary of the Indian Institute of Homeopathic Phisicians, AP Branch for two terms.

He is also a member of the National Centre for Homeopoathy, the US and of the International Homeopathic League.

He organised free camps to provide relief to the patients during the outbreak of various epidemics in Andhra Pradesh, including encephalitis in 1981 and 1986.
