Dakor nagarpallika gets a new chief

Nadiad, June 19 (UNI) Mahindra Parmar was today elected unopposed president of Dakor nagarpallika, securing a majority of 19 votes out of 21.

Dakor mamlatdar N D Mistry had called a meeting of all the members today to discuss the poll, as a no-confidence motion was moved against the BJP member Virendra Parmar last month.

Mr Mistry resolved the issue in one sitting, with 19 members voting for Mr Parmar, while the former president Ravindra Parmar failed to turn up.

Another member Naresh Seval reached the venue late, therefore, he could not cast his vote.
