CJI distributes accident claims of Rs 2.44 crore in Kashmir
Srinagar, Jun 19 (UNI) Chief Justice of India K G Balakrishnan today distributed cheques of Rs 2.44 crore among 109 beneficiaries who received compensation for motor accident claims in different districts of the Kashmir valley.
He also inaugurated a mediation centre at the High Court complex here, which is the first of its kind in the state.
Supreme Court judge and NALSA Executive Chairman Justice Ashok Bhan, Jammu and Kashmir High Court acting Chief Justice Aftab Alam, state Legal Service Authority chairman Justice N A Kakroo, judges and other officers were present on the occasion.
