China's attitude threat to peace in SE Asia: Rajnath
Raipur, June 19 (UNI) BJP President Rajnath Singh today said that the UPA regime failed to register a strong ''diplomatic protest'' over China's claim on Arunachal Pradesh.
''China's attitude is posing a threat to peace in southeast Asia,'' he told journalists at the state BJP office here.
Mr Singh flayed the UPA government for its ''silence'' over repeated Chinese claims on Arunachal Pradesh and said that Prime Minister Manmohan Singh even described China as a ''great neighbour.'' Alleging that a food security crisis prevailed in the country, the BJP chief added that the Centre had already set in motion a process for importing wheat and a few other commodities.
''The crisis affected the public distribution system,'' he claimed, adding that the government should make public its action plan to deal with the crisis.
