AppLabs bags ISO 27001 certificate

Hyderabad, June 19 (UNI) AppLabs, the software testing company, today announced that it has been conferred with the prestigious International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 27001 certificate.

A company release said here, adhering to the certification AppLabs would ensure confidentiality, integrity and availability of any information flow within an organization. With this, it had become one among the few companies in the world to be awarded the BS ISO/IEC 27001:2005 accreditation, the release added.

The audit for the certification was conducted by BSI Management Systems India Private Ltd.

ISO 27001, the new international standard for Information Security Management System (ISMS), replacing BS7799-2, ISO/IEC 27001:2005 would enable global businesses and organisations to develop world class ISMS.

ISO 27001 was the first in a family of international information security standards that would underpin and protect IT worldwide over the next decade. The certificate was designed to harmonize with ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 14001:1996 so that management systems could be effectively integrated.
