Jammu: A Hindu among 81 people cross over to PoK
Jammu, June 19: A Hindu man was among 81 passenger who crossed over to the other side of Line of Control (LOC) from Chakkan-da-Bagh Line crossing point at Poonch in Jammu and Kashmir yesterday, official sources said today.
''One Hindu passenger, Prem Dass from Rajouri also crossed over to Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) to see his birth place and relations there,'' sources said, adding that two more Hindus, who were scheduled to cross over to other side, did not report though their names had been cleared by the authorities on the other side.
Meanwhile, 64 people crossed over to this side from PoK, which included 60 fresh visitors and four Indian nationals.
A total 145 passengers exchanged sides at the Chakkan-da-Bagh, which was opened for the travelers of the either sides.
