89 fever-related deaths in Kerala: Minister
Thiruvananthapuram, June 19 (UNI) As many as 89 fever-related deaths have occurred in Kerala this year, Health Minister P K Sreemathy said today.
Talking to newspersons here, she said effective steps were being taken to contain the spread of viral fever in the state.
A state-level vector control unit and district level units would be set up to contain mosquito breeding.
She said the Central team, which visited the affected areas, in its interim report had pointed out that the situation was not alarming and it could be brought under control through effective vector control measures.
