2 brothers drown in Ganga

Kaushambi, June 19 (UNI) Two minor siblings drowned in the Ganga river in Kokhraj area of the district today.

Akash (10) and Vikas (12) -- hailing from Kareli area of Allahabad -- had come to the city to attend the marriage of their cousin.

This afternoon, the boys along with their relatives had gone to have a bath in the Ganga, where the duo entered the deep waters and drowned.

Akash's body had been fished out while efforts were on to retrieve the other one, police said.
