19 girls selected for Chandigarh Girls Hockey Academy

Chandigarh, June 19 (UNI) The selection committee, headed by Sports Director Inderjit Singh Sandhu, today selected four more girls for induction into the state-run Chandigarh Girls Hockey Academy, which will be established by the Chandiagarh Sports Department in July.

With the inclusion of four girls, the strength of the trainees has gone up to 19 as 15 girls were already selected in the first phase of the selection procedure.

Out of 19 girls, nine, including four selected today, would undergo medical examinations before their final induction into the academy.

Those selected are: Monika, Reena Khokhar, Neha Sheoran, Sangeeta, Simran Dhanola, Ninda Anjun, Babita, Heera Sinha, Sheeba Hasmi, Reena Rathore, Sandeep Kaur, Navdeep Kaur, Gurpreet Kaur, Neha Rawat, Poona, Swati, Anjali, Neelima Pandey and Alka Tiwari. UNI
