Wet spell in Delhi continues, mercury drops to 30.7 Deg C
New Delhi, June 18 (UNI) Delhi's tryst with pleasant weather continued for the fourth consecutive day today with the pre-monsoon showers plummeting the mercury to 30.7 egrees Celsius, ten degrees below normal.
With the city being lashed by another spell of pre-Monsoon rains this morning, the maximum and minimum temperatures dropped to their lowest levels this June.
For the fourth consecutive day, Delhiites woke up to a heavily overcast sky and cool Easterly winds.
The overcast sky this morning, coupled with the showers, brought down the minimum temperature to 22 degrees, seven degrees below normal, the maximum plummeted to the month's lowest of 30.7 degrees, ten degrees below normal.
Over 25 mm of rainfall was recorded today, weathermen said.
The wet spell in Delhi is expected to continue in the coming days with the weatherman forecasting more rain and thundershowers over the next two to three days, some of them accompanied by squalls.
The weather office has forecast a partly cloudy sky in the next 24 hours with the possibility of rain or thundershowers tonight or tomorrow morning.
The maximum temperature tomorrow could be 33 degrees.
