Trust to donate books to 3,000 poor students
Hyderabad, June 18 (UNI) The 'Badrivishal Pannalal Pitti Trust' will distribute notebooks worth Rs four lakh to 3,000 needy students in the State in this academic year, its Life Trustee Akshay Pitti said today.
Talking to newspersons here, he said the trust had a target of raising Rs 50 lakh through donations this year, which would be spent on various activities, including medical treatment to the poor and scholarships to poor students pursuing higher education.
At present the trust was renovating the Prakasam Vidya Niketan High School at a cost of Rs 9.50 lakh in the city, Mr Pitti said.
The trust was also planning to construct a school building with the name 'Badrivishal Pannalal Pitti Round Table Government High School' under the Sarva Sikhsha Abhiyan (SSA) scheme at Amberpet here, he added.
