T Ramasami to deliver 12th IGNOU G Ram Reddy lecture

New Delhi, June 18 (UNI) The twelfth G Ram Reddy memorial lecture, instituted by the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), will be delivered by Science and Technology Secretary T Ramasami on July 2.

Dr Ramasami, a chemical scientist, will speak on the Science 'Education: At the Core of national Development'.

He is currently engaged in the development of policies and programmes for attracting talent for the study of science and for careers in science.

Prof G Ram Reddy was a distinguished scholar in Political Science and Public Administration. He served as Vice Chancellor of the Osmania University and was the founder Vice Chancellor of the IGNOU and the Andhra Pradesh Open University.

He also served as the Chairman of the UGC.
