SkodaIndia launches new business unit

New Delhi, June 18: SkodaIndia, a fully-owned subsidiary of SkodaAuto today announced the opening of an additional business unit for Silvertone in Gurgaon.

The company is expected to sell 17,000 units, in addition to providing nine dealerships by the end of this fiscal, a statement said.

Company's Managing Director (Commercial) Karsten Bogun inaugurating the unit said, ''NCR has become one of the fastest growing regions in India for automobile as well as other sectors.

Looking at the growing demand, we have taken this step forward of expanding our network with the launch of this new work place for Silvertone in the northern belt.'' In last five years, SkodaIndia has sold over 43,000 units. It has a market share of over 23.3 per cent in the segment.
