Silver, Gold continue to rise
Mumbai, June 18 (UNI) Both the precious metals continued to rise today on bullish global advices with Silver up by Rs 60 per kg and Gold by Rs 15 per ten gm on the Bombay Bullion Association.
Silver fineness .999 opened high at Rs 18,440 on good demand.
Later, it fell slightly and closed at Rs 18,435 with a gain of Rs 60 from its Saturday's close.
In London, Silver also rose at USD 13.27/13.30 per troy ounce against USD 13.23/13.26 per troy ounce in New York.
Standard gold (99.5) and pure gold (99.9) also opened upwards at Rs 8,730 and Rs 8,775 per ten gm respectively on better buying support.
Later, standard gold also eased slightly and closed at Rs 8,725 while pure gold remained steady and closed at its opening level. The yellow metal gained Rs 15 each from its last close.
In London, gold edged up at USD 656.00/659.00 as compared to USD 652.50/655.00 per troy ounce in New York on Friday.
