Seminar on 'Doing Business with Australia' held in Kochi
Kochi, June 18 (UNI) A seminar on 'Doing Business with Australia' organised by the Australian Trade Commission (Austrade) alongwith Victoria Government Business Office in association with the Cochin Chamber of Commerce and Industry, was held here today.
The seminar is a part of the Austrade's 'Utsav Australia' programme, the Australian Government's initiative to accelerate the country's commercial engagement with India.
Autralian Consul General Aminur Rahman said his country was looking to make Indian companies partners in sectors like IT, health and medicine, infrastructure, food processing, education and fashion.
He said certain Australian companies were working in tandem with Indian companies to synergise technology and expertise in respective countries.
'' Australia can provide value added competitive solutions and expertise both in traditional and emerging sectors for businesses in India,'' Mr Rahman added.
In 2005-06, Austrade helped close to 400 Indian companies source good and services from Australia.
Austrade with its presence in 10 cities in India provide service for Indian businessmen including advice on and access to appropriate business partners, on-going support to source new products and services, ideas for growing business with Australian innovations and develop tailored business visit programmes to Australia.
