Rupee opens stronger at 40.75/76 per dollar
Mumbai, June 18: Rupee opened stronger at 40.75/76 per dollar drawing support from adequate capital inflows. It has gained nearly 10 paise as compared to the previous close at 40.85 against USD.
However, concerns over the central bank intervention is palpable in the forex market which may block the rupee rally unless ample inflows continue, said a dealer with a public sector bank.
Rupee touched an intra day a low of 40.80 by 12.15 p m and may lose further in the sessions ahead, dealers opined.
