Patna, June 18 (UNI) Rashtriya Janta Dal (RJD) today urged the Bihar government to place ''Urn'' of Lord Budha in Vaishali district.

RJD state unit president Abdul Bari Siddiqi, Chief whip of the party in the state assembly Ramchandar Purve, former minister and senior party leader Jagdanand Singh told newspersons here that keeping the urn in Patna museum was sheer injustice to the people of Vaishali as it was found during an excavation in Vaishali district in 1958.

They said government should shift the urn to Vaishali if it was at all interested in development of the state and was eager to promote tourism.

They referred to the letter written by the Union Minister Raghuvansh Prasad Singh to the former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee in this connection who in turn had written a letter to the Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar in the first week of this month suggesting him to take suitable steps.

They said honouring the sentiments of the people, the RJD government during its regime had decided to place the urn at Vaishali. The central government had also extended full cooperation to the Nitish government for shifting the urn to Vaishali but the present NDA government appeared not in a mood to respect the feelings of the common people.
