Police officer deposes before court in Papiya Ghosh murder case

Patna, Jun 18 (UNI) The officer in-charge of Patliputra police station here today deposed before court, as a prime witness in the sensational murder case of professor Papiya Ghosh and her maid.

Inspector-cum-OC of Patliputra police station N K Singh was produced as the 23rd prosecution witness in the case before that fast track court judge Omparkash, when the witness said that following a telephone call on December 3 morning last year he reached the Patliputra colony residence of the victim only to find the bodies of Prof Ghosh and her maid Malti Devi lying there.

He also found a landline and a mobile phone, a computer,her car and some other household articles missing from the scene, the OC alleged.

Ms Ghosh, a History professor of Patna university, and her maid Malti were killed when they resisted a dacoity bid in her on December 2 night last year.
