PFC secures 'Navratna' status from govt

New Delhi, June 18 (UNI) Power Finance Corporation Ltd has said it has received 'Navratna' status from the Government of India.

The status will allow higher operational freedom to the company regarding extent of investment in joint ventures, incurring of capital expenditure, creation of below board level positions, investment in equity etc, a statement said.

PFC is providing large range of financial products and services like project term loan, lease financing, direct discounting of bills, short term loan etc for various power projects in generation, transmission, distribution sector as well as for renovation and modernisation of existing power projects.
