Peak demand plummets to 2903 MW, no loadshedding

New Delhi, June 18 (UNI) As Delhiites enjoyed the coolness brought about by pre-Monsoon showers with the mercury dropping to the month's lowest of 30.7 Degrees C, the power situation in the city also witnessed a marked improvement with the peak demand plummeting to 2903 MW.

''Peak load on the system recorded was 2903 MW which was met without any loadshedding,''a Delhi Transco spokesperson said.

''No under frequency relay was operated,''the spokesperson added.

The peak demand of 2903 MW was a drop of over 300 MW from 3219 MW of peak demand recorded yesterday.
