Parmar files anticipatory bail application: Sohrabuddin case

Ahmedabad, June 18 (UNI) Deputy SP M L Parmar, wanted in the fake encounter case of Sohrabuddin and is now underground, today filed an anticipatory bail application in the Gujarat High Court.

However, the matter was adjourned by Justice Aqeel Qureshi till tomorrow.

Last week, the sessions court had rejected his anticipatory bail plea. Today's application was against the session court's rejection of his bail plea.

The Metropolitan magistrate here had issued arrest warrant for Parmar, 15 days back.

Parmar is accused of taking Sohrabuddin and his wife Kauser Bi from the bus and later making arrangements for them at a farm house on the outskirts of the city before the fake encounter took place.
