One killed, 11 injured in Kashmir

Srinagar June 18 (UNI) A boy was killed and 11 others, including a girl, were injured in different road accidents across the Kashmir valley today, a police spokesman said.

A bus, on its way to Srinagar from Sopore, crushed to death a boy Umar at Sangrama on the highway today, he said.

Police had to fire teargass shells and resort to baton charge to disperse an irate mob who set fire to the bus.

In a seoparates incident a Maruti car skidded off the road and collided with a chinar tree at Lethpora causing injuries to four passengers.

The injured have been hospitalised.

In another road accident, a tipper hit and injured Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din Ganie, while one Shugufta daughter of Mohammad Ayub Bhat was injured after she was hit by a speedy vehicle at Bachoo in Baramulla.

Five persons were injured when a motorcyle collided with an oncoming sumo at Bonigam Qazigund, the spokesman said.
