Officials asked to speed up project works

Hyderabad, June 18 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today directed the officials of Hyderabad Urban Development Authority (HUDA) to complete all the projects it had taken up at Shamshabad near the International airport.

HUDA had taken up projects like the Golden Mile project at Kokakpeta, Model Township Prtoject at Tellapur, Hotel Project at Shamshabad, NRI Township at Budvel, IT Special Economic Zone (SEZ) at Kokapet and Medicity at Ameenpet, a release said here.

While reviewing the new projects with HUDA officials Dr Reddy directed them to complete the works without further delay.

Dr Reddy accepted a proposal for to constitute a high-level commitee for the fast-trak clearance of project-related issues. The proposed committee, to be headed by the Chief Secretary, would consist of secretaries of revenue, finance, law, investment and insurance and officials of Municipal and Urban Development.
