Monsoon was increase in the State

Bangalore, June 18 (UNI) Following is the summary of observations recorded in weather office here at 0830 hrs today.

Monsoon was weak over North Interior Karnataka.

Rainfall occurred at most places over Coastal Karnataka and at isolated places over Interior Karnataka.

Heavy rainfall amounts (cm): Shirali 8, Kumta, Karwar 7 each.

Other chief rainfall amounts (cm): Honavar, Kottigehara 6 each, Ankola, Udupi 5 each, Mulki, Kollur, Mangalore AP 4 each, Kundapur, Bhatkal, Yellapura, Mangalore, Panambur, Mudigere 3 each, Mudibidre, Kota, Karkala, Siddapura, Joida, Bhagamandala, Virajpet, Agumbe 2 each, Puttur, Mundagod, Kiravatti, Kalghatgi, Chittapur, Tyagarthi, Shiralkoppa, Hosanagar, Gowribidanur 1 each.

Forecast valid until Wednesday morning: Rain/thundershowers likely to occur at most places over Coastal Karnataka and at a few places over Interior Karnataka.

Farmers Weather Bulletin: Moderate to rather heavy rain likely to occur at most places over Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, Uttara Kannada districts. Light to moderate rain likely to occur at a few places over remaining districts of the State.

Heavy rain may occur at isolated places over Coastal Karnataka during next 24 hours.

Forecast for Bangalore city: Generally cloudy. One or two spells of light rain likely.
