LPG cylinder explodes in Mohali house
Mohali, June 18 (UNI) An LPG cylinder exploded in a three-storey building in Phase one residential area of Mohali today.
SSP Ranbir Singh Khatra said the explosion occurred this afternoon in a kitchen of a top-floor house in the building, causing damage to a wall.
However, no one was injured in the explosion as the house was locked at that time and there was no one inside, he added.
The panicky neighbours ran outside and informed the police after the blast.
The cause of the explosion could not be immediately ascertained, the SSP said.
He denied TV reports that the building collapsed under the impact of the explosion and clarified that it caused minor damage to a wall. No one was hurt or trapped, he added.
