Lightning kills son and injures father

Shillong, Jun 18 (UNI) A teenager was killed and another injured today when lightning struck them at Balat village in Meghalaya.

The accident occurred when they were proceeding to their farmland.

Thunderstorms hit the western region of Meghalaya and killed 17-year-old Sengrak K.Sangma, police said.

His father Brelin P.Sangma was critically wounded with multiple burns and shifted to a nearby health centre for medical treatment.

His condition was, however, stable.
