ICICI-Lombard claims 90 pc claims clearance
Aizawl, Jun 18 (UNI) Admitting errors in their claims documents, the ICICI-Lombard has however claimed that more than 90 per cent received claims had been cleared.
The ICICI-Lombard representatives today claimed that 10,600 of the 11,600 claims had been settled, while admitting that a few claims were still pending.
A few days back, the private hospitals in Aizawl had decided to suspend the cashless hospital facilities it had been giving to Mizoram government employees and their dependants, following the state government's MoU with ICICI-Lombard.
Sources said that Aizawl's private hospitals mutually agreed to revoke their decision to discontinue the cashless hospital facilities after the ICICI-Lombard officials in Saturday's meeting assured that they would clear all bills within two weeks.
''Since some hospitals included unnecessary details in the bills, they needed to be scrutinised. This is what hospitals in other cities are also doing. We have asked for details on the complaints, and we are looking into them. However, those claims which have been reported as missing seem to be true,'' ICICI officials were quoted as saying by Zalen.
On the ICICI-Lombard Aizawl office's demand for fresh bills from the patients, the ICICI-Lombard representatives also reportedly assured that they would contact the concerned hospitals from outside the state, since it would be troublesome for the patients to do that.
Moreover, the ICICI-Lombard officials assured that they would be able to give better facilities if the Mizoram government gave an additional premium.
The company's representatives assured to render improved services to ensure that the MoU it had signed with the Mizoram government on the health insurance scheme for government employees and their dependants was renewed.
The MoU is due to expire on September this year.
