Haryana to impart education through EDUSAT at pry level

Chandigarh, Jun 18 (UNI) With a view to channelising the energy of children and imparting qualitative education through EDUSAT at primary level, the Haryana government has earmarked a sum of Rs 10.50 crore for the current financial year.

Stating this here today, an official spokesman said that all the Government Primary Schools had been equipped with electric connections and electric fittings by spending an amount of Rs 3.80 crore.

A Plazma TV each had been provided to these schools, he added.

He said that two Government Primary Schools would be selected from each education block on the basis of maximum students enrolled in the nursery classes.

An amount of about Rs 1.43 crore would be spent on the beautification of all such selected schools and Rs 50,000 would be given to each school for this purpose.

Each such school would purchase slides, sea-saws and swings and a budget provision of Rs 10,000 per school had been made for this purpose, he added.

The spokesman said an amount of Rs 4.50 crore would be spent for promoting sports activities in primary schools of the state.

He said that each primary school of the state would be equipped with basic play equipments and playgrounds to organise sports activities properly in these schools.
