Five killed in torrential rains in Rajasthan
Ganganagar, June 18 (UNI) Life was thrown out of gear as torrential rains lashed northern districts of Ganganagar and Hanumangarh in Rajasthan, killing five people so far.
Heavy rain has been reported in these two districts in the last two days which left the major part of the city marooned in rain waters.
The water logging in the low laying areas posed a threat to life which claimed three lives due to house collapse.
Two members of a family died of electrocution last night. Police said a high tension wire fell on a 45 years old Lal Chand and his 20 year son Rajkumar while they were asleep. Both died on the spot.
District administration has sanctioned an ex-gratia of Rs 50,000 to the families of those killed in the natutal calmity.
