Educationist dies in road accident

Surat, Jun 18 (UNI) Noted educationist and president of Surat Banagi Shala Sanchalak Mandal, Lavjibhai Mawani was killed in a road accident near Salangpur, police said.

Mawani (55), who was on a pilgrimage trip with his family died late last evening when the car he was travelling in hit a truck on the highway near Salangpur, police today said.

Mawani was founder of several schools in the city, sources added.
