CPI lay siege to sub-collector's office
Rajahmundry, June 18 (UNI) About 300 CPI activists today laid a seige to the Sub-Collector's office here for nearly four hours, demanding house sites for the poor.
The functioning of the office was disrupted as the agitators did not allowed the staff to enter the office.
Led by former MLA K Subbaraju and party leaders M Satyanarayana and K Apparao, they raised slogans and demanded that the government to assign house sites to the poor.
They withdrew the stir after Tahsildar K Narasimha Murthy assured that eligible poor would be provided with house sites.
