CM orders suspension of two officials

Hyderabad, June 18 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today directed the Power Distribution Corporation Limited (PDCL) to suspend Line Inspector S Satyanarayana and Junior Lineman K Balaiah who were reportedly found responsible for electrocution of a woman at Ventapur village in Medak district.

According to an official release here, Dr Reddy also asked the officials concerned to order a detailed probe into the incident and submit a report immediately.

Following the Chief Minister's direction, the PDCL ordered an enquiry into the incident.

According to a preliminary enquiry, it was found that the incident might have occurred due to faulty earthing of the single phase transformer and the negligence of the lineman, the release added.
