Central team visits Haryana to survey Nuke power plant site
Fatehabad, June 18 (UNI) A team of senior officers from the Nuclear Energy Power Corporation (NEPC) today visited Kumaria village in this district, where the central government planned to set up country's first nuclear power plant.
Executive Director S. Thakur and Member Secretary of the NEPC M N Ray, accompanied by K. K. Amrohi, District Revenue Officer, Fatehabad today visited the village and some surrounding areas for survey of some suitable site for the ambitious project.
They also met the Deputy Commissioner O P Sheoran to discuss the matter with him.
Later, the DC informed media persons that the team had surveyed some sites in the area and would submit its report to the Central Government soon.
