Army apprehends four, including woman, with anti-personnel mines.
Jammu, June 18 (UNI) Averting a major possible militant attack, army today apprehended four people, including a woman, at Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir and seized anti-personnel mines from their possession, official sources here said.
A woman, identified as Parveen Akhtar, working as Special Police Officer(SPO), was apprehended along with three other people at Keran area of the bordering district, sources said. Four anti- personnel mines have been recovered from the possession of the arrested, who are still in the custody of the army.
With this arrest, the army has averted a major possible tragedy as these mines could have been used to attack the army convoy, which daily moves from Poonch to Jammu and vice versa.
