AP to supply gas via pipeline by 2008 end

Hyderabad, June 18 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today said gas would be supplied through pipelines to house-holds in 23 select towns by 2008 end.

An official release here said Dr Reddy reviewed the Krishna Godavari Gas Network Limited (KGGNL) project with the Minister for Investment, Infrastructure and Airports M Venkataramana Rao and other senior officials concerned.

Dr Reddy also instructed the officials concerned to commence pipe laying works by November 2007 and complete it by June, 2008 end under the first phase.

He said Rs 30 crore had been allocated for the project and the remaining amount of Rs 33 crore would be allocated soon, the release added.
