Another spell of rain hits Delhi, mercury drops to 22 deg C

New Delhi, June 18 (UNI) Delhi's tryst with pre-monsoon rains seemed to continue for another week with moderate to heavy showers lashing the city again this morning.

Delhiites woke up to a heavily overcast sky today. The showers and cool easterly winds brought down the minimum temperature to 22 degrees Celsius, seven degrees below normal.

Over 20 mm of rainfall was recorded this morning.

The wet spell in Delhi could continue for the rest of the week with the weatherman forecasting more rain and thundershowers in the next two to three days, some of them accompanied by squalls.

The met office has forecast a generally cloudy sky in Delhi during the next 24 hours, especially during the morning, with the possibility of rain or thundershowers accompanied by squalls in some areas.

The maximum temperature today would likely be remaining around 33 degrees.
