An official arrested taking bribe

Darbhanga June 18 (UNI) The vigilance sleuths today arrested a clerk of Darbhanga Nagar Nigam license department whenhe was taking bribe of Rs 5000.

The Deputy Superintendent Police (Vigilance) Rambahadaur Ram said here that the clerk was arrested following a complaint of a rickshaw puller Kishun Ram.

The clerk had demanded a bribe of Rs 12,000 for renewal of the license of 12 rickshaws. Rs 1850 was also recovered from the possession of the arrested clerk who was being brought to Patna for further interrogation.
