AIDS patient commits suicide in the hospital

Rajahmundry, June 18 (UNI) A HIV patient B Gopi hailing from Dowleswaram committed suicide by hanging himself in the backyard of the Government Hospital here today.

The patient was admitted to the hospital on June 14 with AIDS. He was also very much disappointed as no one visited him at the hospital since then. Even his family members and friends did not turn up, according to other patients.

In the early hours he went out and did not return to the ward. A search was made following which Gopi was found hanging from a cashewnut tree in the hospital premises, hospital sources said.
