ABMH demonstrates before DC office
Jamshedpur, Jun 18 (UNI) Akhil Bharat Hindu Masabha(ABHM)today expressed concern over Bangladeshi infiltration in Jharkhand and demanded immediate ban on cow slaughter and demolition of the butcher houses in the state.
Hundreds of ABHM activists of East Singhbhum unit of the party,led by North-Eastern states in-charge Dharam Chand Poddar, demonstrated at the premises of the district deputy commissioner's office on nine-point carter of demands.
The ABMH also demanded issuing of red cards to the people of Below Proverty Line (BPL), resumption of distribution of ration cards, old age pension, issuing of caste certificates and uninterrupted power supply for the industrial and domestic uses.
Mr Poddar alleged owing to the presence of Bangladeshi nationals the government had to issue 4.5 lakhs additional ration cards and the bonafide people were deprived.
A six-member delegation of ABHM submitted a memorandum to the DC Nitin Madan Kulkarni and urged to fulfil thier demands.
