9 prison guards dismissed

Basti, June 18 (UNI) Nine prison guards were today dismissed for seeking job on the basis of fake documents here.

''On jail administration's complaint, a case was registered against the accused in Kotwali police station,'' Police Superintendent Anand Swaroop said here.

The accused were working as prison guards in Basti division jail, after presenting fake transfer documents from Agra and Fatehgarh central prisons.

The accused are identified as Munna Singh, Sanjay Singh, Gulab Singh, Ayodhya Yadav, Vineet Singh, Mahatam Singh, Raghunath Gupta, Umesh Dubey and Devendra Pratap Singh.
