500 MW unit operational in MP
Bhopal, June 18 (UNI) The Madhya Pradesh Power Generating Company's Sanjay Gandhi Thermal Power Station's fifth unit -- of 500 MW and set up by BHEL at a cost of Rs 2,300 crore -- began production today, official sources said.
The unit, with the highest capacity among the Generating Company's units, would produce 3,723 million units of power annually.
Among earlier units the maximum was 210 MW. The company's total installed capacity is 3,550.45 MW.
