Nagaland: Woman burnt alive at Wokha

Kohima, Jun 17: A woman was burnt alive when her house, at Wokha town, caught fire last night.

Official sources said the woman, identified as Lokyonglo Ngullie (40), resided alone in the first floor of the rented house at Tsumang Colony.

The fire broke out in her house last night but when the people rushed to the spot, the woman had already sustained 90 per cent burn injuries and died soon after.

Later, Fire Brigade personnel rushed to the spot and doused the flames.

Meanwhile, police had registered a case and were trying to ascertain the cause of the fire, official sources said.
